Putting well-being at the heart of education

From our Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to our first newsletter of the summer term. We’ve been lucky to enjoy a glorious week of sunshine, and it’s been wonderful to see our learners and staff making the most of it.

On Monday, our Key Stage 3 learners visited Ewhurst Park for a foraging day – a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and learn new skills. You’ll find some photos in the “What We’ve Been Up To” section below. It was a real pleasure to speak with the learners afterwards and hear how much they enjoyed the experience and how much they took away from it.

Back at school, lunchtimes have been fun and relaxing, with learners and staff enjoying the sunshine together during Pokémon and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) clubs – great moments of fun and connection for all involved.

The summer term is often a time of transition: exams, farewells to our Year 11 learners, and welcoming new members into our school community. In this issue, our Independent Careers Advisor, Cathy, shares useful information for parents and carers of learners in Years 9 and 10, giving an insight into the support we offer as learners start to think about life beyond Year 11.

As always, thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend.

Matt
