Physical Education (PE)

Learners are offered a range of PE activities both through their weekly timetable and as part of the well-being activities.

This encompasses a range of sports and fitness activities including basketball, football, park gym and table tennis.

As part of the well-being curriculum, physical activity is used to relieve stress and rebalance energy as needed by individual learners. It also supports peer on peer interaction, emotional regulation and team building.

An important element of our well-being curriculum is also the social games tutors encourage learners to play.  These could be card or board games, all of which support literacy and numeracy in addition to teaching team-work through both cooperation and competition.  They also help to build rapport between learners and staff through non-pressured, fun activities.
